PRODUCTS
With a focus on uncompromising product and service quality, at TNS TIMBER LTD, we ensure that all of our suppliers conform with all international standards of forests sustainability, processing wood into sawn goods, plywood and chipboard.
Melamine Faced Chipboards (MFC)
Melamine faced chipboard, or MCF, is a composite wood. It is made by combining machined wood chips together with a strong resin. Hence it is an engineered wood product. Melamine is a thermosetting plastic which is applied to paper. This is then glued onto the chipboard, so that it achieves its final look.
We are cooperating with big European MFC manufacturers importing a large variety of colors in different surfaces and decors.
Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF)
Medium density fiberboard (MDF) is a composite product used in many home and professional projects, such as furniture, cabinetry, flooring and even speaker boxes due to its smooth finish, machinability, strength and consistency.
We also offer fire resistance and moisture resistance MDF.
Plywood
Plywood is an engineered wood made from multiple layers of thin veneer that are adhered together. Each adjacent layer is rotated by up to 90 degrees to reduce the risk of splitting when nailed in at the edges.
Common Types of Plywood are:
•Marine Plywood for external use
•Poplar Plywood for internal use and decoration
•WBP glued Plywood for lower budget solutions
Scandinavian Softwoods
The Scandinavian Redwood and White Wood, are a high quality, durable, dense, softwood. There are many advantages of using Redwood or White Wood on your outdoor furniture and garden designs.
Also can be used for door frame, profiles or constriction purposes.
Hardwoods
The most common types of hardwoods include Oak, Walnut, Beech, Iroko. As these grow at a much slower rate and require longer drying times, these factors drive up the cost of the wood. Hardwoods tend to be much more resilient than softwoods and are often reserved for projects that require maximum durability such as indoor floors, cabinets, kitchen doors and outside pergolas.
OSB
Oriented strand board (OSB) is a type of engineered wood similar to particle board, formed by adding adhesives and then compressing layers of wood strands (flakes) in specific orientations.
OSB is an engineered wood panel that shares many of the strength and performance characteristics of plywood.
The most common use is for wall paneling and roofs.
